A family-owned property established in the 1940s
Spend the summer on a crystal clear Adirondack lake, nestled near the high peaks. Located in northern Schroon Lake, just a 10-minute walk from the center of town, Terra Alta has been a summer destination for more than 75 years, owned and operated by the same family for four generations. Schroon Lake lies about 30 minutes north of Lake George, and less than 40 minutes from Lake Placid. The 34 historic cabins on a breathtaking 17-acre property were built from Montgomery Ward kits in the 1940s. This beautiful spot has a character all its own, especially suited to outdoor life.
